2021 Biennial Session Announcement

February 19, 2021 – Washington, D.C.

To all Brethren and Friends of the Southern Jurisdiction:

Mindful of the health and safety of our members and guests and following a thorough evaluation of the potential COVID-related constraints, we have decided to modify attendance and the activities associated with our upcoming Biennial Session in August 2021.

Attendance onsite in Washington D.C. will be limited to the current Active and Deputy Members of the Supreme Council, 33° Southern Jurisdiction, USA and their spouses.

The Active Members of the Supreme Council will meet in Executive Session on Saturday, August 21, to conduct necessary business. Elections for the Knight Commander Court of Honour and the 33rd Degree will be conducted in normal fashion. However, there will be no conferral of the 33rd Degree at the Biennial Session.

We will conclude the event on Sunday, August 22, with a formal assembly, much like the public session that routinely occurs on Monday mornings of our “normal” Biennial Sessions. This informative and educational presentation will be streamed live via the Internet at 2:00 PM EDT. More details will follow on our website.

To our members, Sister Councils, Grand Masters and related organizations who would normally join us for a wonderful celebration, we will greatly miss our time together, but your health and safety are our primary concern.

Sincerely and fraternally,

James D. Cole, 33°, Sovereign Grand Commander
